| | Hi Beth,

I was overweight (by about 85 lbs) when I was pregnant with my
daughter. I had a very strange pregnancy though, as I lost 10 lbs.
during the pregnancy... didn't gain a thing... but then again, I was
sick the whole nine months, too.

I hope you don't run into that! The doctors usually feel better if you
gain something, but they ask you to take it easy...

| | Beth,

I got pregnant (by accident) when I was about 120 pounds overweight.
Alot of things happened to me, some because of my weight some not. As
it is a rather long story, I probably won't enter it here - unless
somebody requests that I do. Feel free to contact me via all-in-1
Barbara Grey @RTP or DTN 367-4440. As I mentioned I was very
overweight, but otherwise quite healthy. I was also 25 years old at
the time - I'm 28 now. Despite everything, it all turned out fine. I
have a beautiful daughter who will be 3 years old in November. Contact
    me...I'll be glad to talk.

    Barbara

| | I've had two girls being 60-85 lbs. over-weight.

The first one I became "hypertensive" (borderline toxemia) and was
confined to bed for the last five weeks. Ended losing 50lbs immediately
after birth (2 wks) went from 225 to 175, most of that being water.
Felt fine most of the time, except for normal pregnancy stuff.

The second was a breeze, no huge weight gain( no lose either) no
    toxemia.

I had a good Doctor that didn't believe my weight had anything to do
with any complaints I had during the pregnancies. I have to say that I
am a healthy heavy person. No heart problems, no high blood pressure,
no cholostral(sp), no joint pain, etc.

GOOD LUCK! I am sure you will be fine.
