I need some information for a manual that I am supposed to write for a publishing company. It's supposed to be a non-fiction book about how to set up a dietary recipe service and run it as a small business. Although I am a dieter (have lost 24 pounds in 7 weeks in the HMR program at Emerson Hospital), I am not familiar with a dietary recipe service. Does anyone know what it is? If not, what kind of dietary recipe service would you pay money for? What would you want it to? What kind of service would you expect? Carol DTN 223-1537

I'm not certain I have any idea of what this would be but how I'd love to see something like this is: I send my favorite recipies for conversion to Weight Watcher recipies. The company sends me back the converted recipie complete with WW exchange info. The actual conversion might be simply into the exchanges or it might be more complex in that it would include substitution information such as equivelent info for sugar ---> artificial sweeteners, or instead of browning flour in butter then adding milk for a sauce, mixing the flour with milk and forgetting the butter or using reduced calorie margarine, etc.. Or, maybe the idea would be a "recipie-of-the-month" club kind of thing where you could specify that you follow WW guidelines or some-other-popular-plan and you get a new bunch of recipies each month that fit your plan. Hope some of this helps. Let us know how it goes! | |||||
