464.1 | more info on MALSOVIT bread | SNOWAY::SNOW | | Tue Jun 06 1989 09:58 | 10 |
| I have just picked up a flyer from Paul's Bakery on MALSOVIT bread.
It gives the ingredients, a nutritional analysis per slice and a
meal plan. It is definitely a very high fiber bread. If anyone
would like more info on it, send me mail on SNOWAY::SNOW.
Have a GOOD day! :)

464.3 | I like it! I like it! | SNOWAY::SNOW | | Wed Jun 07 1989 16:58 | 14 |
| I bought a loaf of MALSOVIT bread this morning at Paul's Bakery
in Maynard. It costs $3.00 a loaf and is pre-sliced into 20 slices.
I ate it (2 slices of MALSOVIT) plain with a spinach salad for lunch
and boy was I full! It tastes good and would probably taste better
toasted (that is allowed) with low fat margarine or low calorie
preserve (that is allowed, too). A must is to drink an 8 oz. glass
of water before you eat and an 8 oz. glass of water after you eat
due to the high fiber content in the bread. Again, if anyone would
like more information on MALSOVIT, feel free to send me mail on
SNOWAY::SNOW.

464.4 | More Malsovit | UTROP2::RUSIUS_L | | Tue Jun 13 1989 11:08 | 17 |
| Hi everyone,
I haven't introduced myself yet, but I will after I wrote this note.
Here in Holland (Europe remember?) they sell a lot more from Malsovit
like cookies, spread (a kind of sandwich spread) etc. If you like
the bread you might ask at the bakery if they can order these things
as well. So you can make the bread even more tastefull.
Just a suggestion....
Good luck loosing weight to you all.
For me it's a bit of a problem, but I'll keep trying.

| I have been eating the Malsovit bread and using the suggested meal
plan (which is nothing fancy...common sense foods prepared in common
sense ways) and I am very pleased with the results. I have lost
3 pounds in one week. I feel full between meals...especially where
I have been good about drinking lots of water and eating salads.
I find my energy level has increased which is probably due to the
fiber and eating fruit on a daily basis twice a day. I don't seem
to crave the sweet or salty snacks as much. I hope to loose 15
more pounds by the beginning of August. I plan to do more walking
and hope to get a new wheel for my bicycle so I can get more exercise.
I will post my progress here from time to time.
The Malsovit bread sure has been a hit at the bakery in Maynard!
They were planning to make it only once a week, but when they sold
57 loaves in one day they are thinking of making it twice a week.
I have bought two loaves at a time to freeze one and keep the other
in the refrigerator. It has no preservatives.

464.7 | what's it all about? | SMURF::HAECK | Debby Haeck | Tue Dec 29 1992 18:39 | 9 |
| This note is kind of old, but...
Could someone give a description and/or definition of Malsovit bread?
And it seems to be part of some sort of program, what's that all about?
It would be my guess, from what is in this string, that the bread and
the program are yet another form of a high-fiber diet, but I am curious
anyway.
