| I have stopped thinking of it in terms of timeframes and have turned to getting
through it day-by-day. I hope to release my weight and problems that, with it,
are mentally/physically associated, within the next few months, but today is
the most important part of that choice!

| I have no choice...I have to have surgery to replace my hip joint
sometime this year. The most convenient time for me (job- and
school-wise) will be in mid-June. My doctor tells me that the more
I lose, the better the outcome will be.
So,
THIS IS IT! THIS TIME FOR SURE!

| I'LL ALSO JOIN. ONE OF MY GOLFING FRIENDS SAW ME IN NOVEMBER AND
TOLD ME I LOOKED TERRIBLE BECAUSE I WAS GETTING TOO FAT. HE BET
ME $100 THAT I COULDN'T REDUCE MY WEIGHT TO UNDER 200 LBS. BY OPENING
DAY IN APRIL 16. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT I ATE AND DRANK EVERY THING
IN SIGHT FOR 6 WEEKS AND STARTED MY PROGRAM JAN 2 AT A NEAT 248 LBS!
SO FAR, SO GOOD. IN 9 DAYS I'VE LOST 12 LBS. HERE'S MY OWN PROGRAM:
-ELIMINATE BOOZE
-EAT 1000-1200 CALORIES PER DAY, MOSTLY FRUIT & VEGETABLE
-JOG 1 MILE EVERY MORNING, INCLUDING WEEKENDS
-SIGNED UP FOR AEROBICS AT ACTON ATHLETIC CLUB MON-WED-FRI NOON
-WAS HYPNOTIZED JAN 4 BY A WEIGHT SPECIALIST SPONSORED BY DEC
-PREPARE ALL MY OWN MEALS- MY WIFE DOES HER OWN THING
-GRAPHED A WEIGHTLOSS PLAN WHICH I UPDATE REGULARLY WITH ACTUALS
-DRINK 1/2 GALLON OF WATER EACH DAY
-ALWAYS LEAVE UNEATEN FOOD ON MY PLATE
-FOR A SNACK AT NIGHT, EAT POPCORN UNBUTTERED, UNSALTED
-ETC
WILL KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THIS NOTE.
