I went to Weight Watchers on Monday at work and the leader
talked about being off and being on the Program.
Like she askes us when are we off and when are we on.
She passed so papers around and and they had sayings
like this.
I didn't do to well so I think I will skip class this week
I know I can have Ice Cream on program so I will buy and
1/2 Gallon for the Family.
I measured and wrote what I ate and lost 4 pounds.
Or I am doing so well I think I will stop going.
Do you know when you are fooling yourselfs and do
you know when you are off or on the program?
It's a good thing to think about..
So are you on or Off?
My self I have been off but I have started this week on.
Signing off
Ann

Funny how the scale always seems to know... :-)

I usually know when I am pretending that I am "on" program while
being really "off": last time it happened (last week), I prepared
myself a WW chocolate pudding, one package makes 5 puddings, and
ate the whole lot in one go, as it was low-cal!
The thing is, it's not a tragedy, it happens to all of us, and we
shouldn't beat ourselves on the head.
My husband and I had a good laugh about the whole thing, while my
daughter told me :"C'est pas serieux", and I was extra careful the
following day.
If we know we are fooling ourselves, then we are not really fooling
ourselves, right ?

| 142.4 | Pigged out time | NHL::ARNO | Mon Nov 09 1987 06:51 | 17 | |
I was off the Program for sure this weekend.. I went to a party
hungry and pigged out on everything.
It was fun but I ate far too much. I can't seem to get on the track
of staying on the Program very long and then I get off and it takes
a longggggg time to get back on...
Here I go again...

I'm not so sure that one is ever 100% "on" or "off" a program.
I find that even on days where I go overboard, I still follow through
on many of the good habits that I've learned through following the
WW program. For example, yeah, I may have had that extra donut
or helping of chips that I didn't plan for. But -- I did have the
two helpings of vegetables, and 16 ounces of milk, and recommended
allowance of fruits that I didn't always used to get in when I ate
fast food lunches and whatever was around for dinner.
So, I don't think of being off or on program in terms of the way
a light switch is off or on.
Re Ann: Getting back on program is no big deal. Just say to yourself,
"I made a mistake, but that's history..."...click your heels together
three times...and say, "I am now back on program!". :-)
