Familiar with eating sensibly.
On April 20 I weighed 230 pounds. Today May 14 ( my birthday ) I
weigh 222 pounds. This was accomplished by not eating junk food at night
while watching TV, eating only a cup of ice cream at a sitting instead
of three cups, not getting desert at lunch, not buying Twinkies
and candy bars from the machine ......
An interesting thing happened yesterday. I had an argument with
someone and while I was all worked up I had a very strong urge to
eat cake or pie. I let my mind focus on that thought and analyzed
it. It was just like the cartoons with the angel and devil hovering
over the cartoon character, one saying eat it, the other saying
don't eat it. Now I know how to analyze the 'want to eat' verses
the 'need to eat' that all the weight workshops talk about.
Now instead of telling my wife that the dryer is shrinking my
pants I can tell her that it is stretching them.
