    I have just heard about the death of Robin Whitton.
    
    Robin took early retirement from MCS in Newcastle 3 years ago.
    
    Robin joined digital in the early 1970's, he worked as site resident at 
    Windscale (now Sellafield), then moved to The Open University as an LCG
    (DEC 20 mainframe) engineer. He spent the last years of his digital
    career working for the North UK district installation team.  
    
    He leaves a wife, he will be missed by friends and colleagues alike.
