I other words, if the number is in the phone's memory, display the text

Paul, is your phone the Panasonic 350???
I know that the Nokias work, and so does my Orange.
Initially i though that it failed because i store all numbers with the
+44 prefix (just in case i am abroad), but i added some "uk local"
numbers and it still didn't work.
mb
|
935.146 | +44 a Pain, but essential if you travel | CHEFS::LEYTON | Richard | Fri Feb 07 1997 16:31 | 9 |
| Martin is certainly right that the software in some of the phones is
not clever enough to cope with numbers entered with the international
prefix. Once you get rid of them mine works fine (a Nokia look alike).
Have you verified that this Panasonic is capable of CLI? Seemingly
plenty of phones on the market can't do it (though according to "What
Cellphone" all the current model Panasonic phones have CLI
i.e.G350/400/500).

Yes, mine is a Nokia and the numbers are stored without the +44.

The Panasonics can do it, but seems like it's only for only for
BT numbers (I think). WHen my wife calls me from home the number is
displayed, though I've not (I'll check)
noticed the text which I have programmed in ("My House"). When I get
