| Best sports sim I have ever played! The only problem I have is that
even when you load a team up with awesome players, the stats do not
reflect the players ratings. I loaded up with checkers and defensive
players yet the GAA did not go down. I loaded up Montreal with awesome
players yet they played to a a sub-.500 season. Also if you create a
great free agent, the guy never seems to score more than 60 points.
Why are the scoring stats so low? Lemeuix is always good for at least
140 -170 points yet in this game he only receives 90 - 100.
What's up with that?

| Guess we have to say that the stats and simulation engine are not quite
matched up with reality, but they sure are better than prior versions
of the NHL series. Guess you would have to use one of the unsupported
editors to 'pump things up'. Then again, could be some artifical
limits imposed by the game.
Working my way through a season playing the Avalanche, (home team and
all), with an updated roster file I got off the network. Still do not
have the skating and shooting skils down real well. Get real
frustrated when I cannot seem to knock anyone off the puck at times.
Lots of games with 120+ shots on goal with only one or two going in.
Every once in a while the computer opponent seems to scores from
anywhere, but by and large it seems to play fair more often than not.

| I did pull an editor of the net, but it did not help things. The jacked
up player never scores more than 60 points. I agree with the shot
thing, unless you do a good one timer, wrap around (hardly ever), or
deke on a break away, you cannot score easily. I mean what goalie can
make 120 saves in a game? Still though the game is great but I wish the
EA people would place some realistic stats work into the game. It seems
only baseball sims get the realistic stats.
