There is an interesting, German Web page that's getting quite a bit of attention in the homebuilt PC and comp.sys.periphs heirarchies, called Tom's Web Page: http://www.sysdoc.pair.com/ This guy has quickly become one of the key trend-setters of the high-end crowd, and many PC-land vendors, including Intel, Cyrix, and AMD, as well as motherboard builders, provide early or pre-release hardware for his evaluation. His most recent editorial, Pabst refers to the fact that he's contacting vendors outside the Intel space, and that he's contacted us: "This should be good news for all the people who falsely thought I've got a problem with Intel. I hope that I can have a good relationship to all CPU manufacturers, so that I can fully concentrate on testing their products. BTW this includes Digital, although they haven't replied any of my mails yet. I'll try to get in touch with Apple as well, regarding their PowerPC." http://sysdoc.pair.com/news.html Knowing how difficult it can be to find the right people at Digital, I thought I'd try to see if anyone in Digital Semi, with an interest in promoting the 21164PC and it's attendant motherboard, could contact Thomas Pabst. Should be good, low-cost visibility, and an important recognition of the new, web-based markering environment today.
