+ TANDEM'S ATALLA AND VLSI READY NETARMOR CHIP
Tandem Computers Inc's Atalla division in San Jose, California
and VLSI Technology Inc say they are readying a new ARM RISC
processor, called the NetArmor chip, designed to help move
secured content through unsecure public networks. Atalla
expects the chip to be used with PCMCIA cards, PCI-bus
motherboards and add-in cards, though there are no details on
when the chip might appear on the market.
