I'm sure most of you have read the reports of the US Marines conducting
exercises in Kuwait and are concerned with Iraq's continued
non-cooperation. Some of you may not realize the reserve on-going role
in Southwest Asia.
I can't speak for all branches/specialities; however, the Air National
Guard has a continuing mission for communications support. I have
several personnel from my unit over there and we are getting more
requests. The tour is "96 days minimum, 179 days maximum".
Additionally it appears that there will be on-going exercises in SWA
similar to Team Spirit in Korea and Coronet xxx in Europe.
Has anyone else had their unit involved?

What type of specialties are being asked to go over from the
Air National Guard?
Were you talking about Tele-Communication?
