98.0. "Forces/Mission Contribution Statistics" by LCDR::REITER (I'm the NRA) Mon Apr 09 1990 19:37

This topic is for statistics which serve to show the contribution of the
reserve forces towards the overall accomplishment of a particular mission
of the forces at large.

These statistics are a helpful reference when discussing the positive impact
that a reserve force has on military readiness when compared to a standing
force.

Please update as information becomes available.

    Re .1:

    If I'm not mistaken, the Naval Reserve Fleet (NRF) has enough ships
    to be somewhere in the top 10 navies of the world.

    These are haze gray and underway ships which are counted as assets
    by CINCLANT and CINCPAC.

    You can add arty to your list. Over 50% of the artillery assets of the
    US Army are in the National Guard.
