Hiya Dustie,
Why do you want to become a "Monkey"? I thought
your chosen profession was Medic. The nearest Redcap unit to use
is down in Southampton, and I can supply you with the phone number
of someone who transfered to them from us recently.

| Where do you want me to start.
MP units spend ALOT of time in the field and contrary to popular belief
not everyone gets a jeep.
I had a great time in the MP Units I was with. We did crowd control at
the NY Marathon, MACY's Thanksgiving's Dat parade, St Patrick's day
parade and almost anything else the NYPD needed help with.
We also spend 14 days of a 16 fay AT int the field. They did AT in
Germany, Egypt, and FT AP Hill while I was there.
It is VERY VERY hard to make rank in an MP unit. When it was time for
me to rotate I could not find an E-6 slot. I keep in touch with my old
unit from time to time and the same E-6s and E-7s have been there
forever. If you want to make rank DON'T go to an MP Unit.

Thanks for the info, I will probably forget the MP's as I want to
make rank, possibly by the end of next year, I will take my commission.
