    I notice that there isn't a note for Bates College.  My son, David, was
    accepted early action and will be entering Bates this fall.

    David is taking a Bates chartered bus from Newton today.  They are showing
    all the incoming freshmen around the campus.  Looks like fun.

    Any DEC parents out there with kids at Bates next year?  We live in Acton,
    Mass (and have a small place in Acton, Maine).  I'm sure that we'll
    need to bring "stuff" up and down a few times next year.  I'd be happy to
    form/join an unofficial carpool/"care package" group.

    The campus looks really nice (my daughter spent two weeks there last
    summer at their sports camp.)  Any hints for an incoming freshman
    and/or his parents?
