Hey I have a HP Laserjet IV connected by via TCP to Unix. On that queue I assigned a printer share. Every job sent by any PC client is followed by a page which contains the following: username: lmxguest host: <hostname> job-nr: <job-id> How to stop it ??? any help ? thanks Gernot [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Do you get a banner page as well? Net print printer_share /options will show you what banner is set to. Julia | |||||

Hey Julia there is banner set to no. But there will be no difference if printing is done with or without bannerpage. Therefore here are some more details: Unix is 3.2 Rev. 214 Pathworks is 5.0d printer is Laserjet IV connected via ethernetcard printcap entry is: hpj8517|lp1:\ :lf... :rm=hpj8517:\ :rp=text:\ :sd=... :sh=on\ :sb=on\ :xf=/usr/lbin/xf: net print phj8517 /options is: ... Driver PSI Driver for Unix LPR version 1.0 Separator File ...
