I have upgraded to PW 6.1A for Digital UNIX. This solved my problem with
writing to the directories shared out on the 2100, but the printer, an HP
Laser
Jet 4M, doesn't want to work.
Pathworks is sharing the printer out to the MS network. The Win95
machines
can see the printer and install it, but when the test page is printed, or any
page for that matter, garbage comes out.
The same 2100 has Helios configured to shared the same directories and
printers out to the Apple network and when they print to the same destination
all is fine and dandy. Actually I used a Win95 machine to make a Word
document
and then used another Apple machine to access the same document and print it
out since the Win95 prints failed.
Has anyone got any ideas on where to start (i.e. new Win95 drivers,
Pathworks
translation error)?

| Hi Mark,
Can you successfully print via Unix, without PW? When the test page from Win95 fails, did
you follow through the troubleshooting procedure? What driver are you using?

| Yes the Unix system has no problem printing to the device, However, all UNIX
printing has been plain text. The Win95 printer driver is the default one
from
the install CD. It my be old or bad havn't tried a new one yet.
