1812.0. "Advanced Server & LM2.2 browse" by BARNA::DSMAIL () Tue Apr 08 1997 06:05

    hello all !

    Please could you answer this question :

    One of our customers has just installed PW6.1 eco1 , now their PW
    clients can not browse the server ( wfw + pw6.0 no wfw net).
    I think the problem is that pure PW client is LM2.2 but the server is
    acting as Master Browser LM3.x. With WNT this issue can be bypassed
    using the option LM2.2 broadcast annuncement.
    What can I do with PW-AS ?

    					Thanks  Jose Burgues @zqo

Hi Jose

set the lmannounce=yes in [ browser ] section of lanman.ini
on the server.(even if you have not started the browser)
The default value is no.

Of course you must have srvhidden = no (that is the default)

Hope this help.

Jean-Pierre
