A customer with critical applications wants to run pw 5.0f with echo
patch 2 on Dunix 3.2g. He insists on being told that this will work ok
before he upgrades. Will this be okay?

No, it's not supported. 5.0F ECO2 is pretty old. They should run 5.0G ECO2. Julia | |||||

It might by OK it might not but according to the release notes there is
NO supported version for DECUNIX 3.2G.
The release notes of 5.0g eco 2 state

This version of PATHWORKS for Digital UNIX is supported on DEC OSF/1
Versions
3.0 and 3.2 and Digital UNIX Versions 3.2C, 3.2D, 3.2E and 3.2F. The
following
operating system patches may be needed for proper operation of
PATHWORKS for
Digital UNIX.

I have rasied this as a question in this notes file as well as well as
to product managemnet but so far no definte answer....
