Hello,
a customer of mine have a problem copying file larger than 20Mb
from Win95 PC to Unix Pathworks Server V6.1
He has tried with Drag&Drop,XCOPY and COPY from a DOS shell and
various type of FTP software.
The error are the follow:
From Drag&Drop : Cannot create or replace "file"-The specified server
cannot perform the requested operation (the error is immediate)
From XCOPY : Error copying file "file"-The system cannot write to
the specified device (a file appears on the server, grow to
20Mb then gives error and disappears)
From COPY : Write fault error (like XCOPY)
From FTP : Truncate at 20Mb like XCOPY and COPY
I have tried with a 22Mb file and have the same problem.
I have tried from pathworks V6 client with the same resoult.
I have tried to a VMS 5.0D server and there is a problem only with
Drag&Drop(but the error is different "the specified networks resourse
or device is no longer avaiable) with XCOPY or COPY there is no problem.
I have tried with a 17Mb file and do not have any kind of problem.
There is on a Pathworks Unix Server V6.1 any kind of limit on the size
of the file that is copied or any setting to be made ??
Anyone can help me ??
Thanks
Carlo
