1761.0. "/usr/tmp getting full of temp files when printing" by BACHUS::DEACETIS (qunovellelitch) Tue Feb 25 1997 11:42
Hello ,
one of my customers has noticed the following problem:
in /usr/tmp a lot of files such as GIAa012083 or HIAa12083 ... are created
and the owner is lmxadmin. If we take a closer look at these files we can see
that each file is assiociated to a print job of a Pathworks client and contain
the data that was printed from this pc. The problem is that they are so busy
with printing that they have to continously monitor the system to avoid
a disk full . Could somebody tell why these temporary files are not deleted.
Everything was working fine and suddenly this problem appeared . If you print from
OSF you don't have this temporary file in /usr/tmp . Customer has osf 3.2c
with pwosf 5.0f eco2
Regards
Fernando
