After upgrading to UNIX 4.0a and PW 6.1ECO1 we've encountered the following problem: Users from WinNT, WfW, Win95 can no longer connect to their UNIX home directories! Is this a generally disabled feature in PW6.1??? Our setup: PDC: Windows NT 4.0 box BDC: AS2100 with UNIX 4.0a, PW6.1ECO1 Strange enough, i've verified this with an other UNIX box, installed from scratch (UNIX 4,0b, PW6.1ECO1): same results. Even as a PDC! Any hints/help available (beside SAMBA)? -Ferdinand [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Hi Ferdinand, > Users from WinNT, WfW, Win95 can no longer connect to their UNIX home > directories! Is this a generally disabled feature in PW6.1??? I suppose you mean by net use x: \\server\username or with user profile. I'm afraid of since V6.0 this feature is not more available.!! You have to create one share by user or one share with subdir for users. Jean-Pierre |
