Question: If an OSF/1 server is a BDC will the UNIX passwords get updated when the PDC sends out the LM password updates ? (ASsuming the unix and LM accounts are linked). Thanks Alan

1732.1 | No, it doesn't | WOTVAX::16.183.112.8::Sharkeya | WinPass - get it while its hot | Wed Feb 05 1997 09:04 | 12 |
ok - answered myself.... The PDC sends out a LM password change. The BDC picks it up and updates its local UAS (or SAM). It does NOT change the native password. Same issue if a Windows 95 PC changes a LM password. The native one is not updated. So, its up to another program to do this ! Alan |
