Pathworks V6.1 and NIS What is meant with "LIMITED NIS PASSWORD PROPAGATION" Under what condition is this true? Does it work for the lanmanager "NET PASSWORD" or do we use netpass? Can a lanmanager client change his LM and UNix password from his workstation? /Regards, Geert

Limited means only LanManager and PATHWORKS for DOS/Windows V6.0. The password sync (propagation) uses netpass. The server must have hostpasswordsync set to yes. There was an ECO on top of the V6.0 client that was needed to make this work with V6.0 servers. |
