The DE450 Windows 95 drivers (DC21X4.SYS or DE450.SYS) most certainly should
handle enabling/disabling of multicast addresses. Post a note in
NOTED::ETHERWORKS if you believe this problem follows the DE450.

Check out the parameters for the network adapter... is there a limit to
the number of multicasts that can be enabled? This is the typical problem
when that error message is reported.

The other is a hardware problem.

In perfect filtering mode, the DE450 should handle no less than 14 multicast
addresses. In hashing mode, it can support an unlimited number of multicast
addresses. However, I believe NDIS itself limits the multicast address table
to something like 32 addresses.

Right, but someone may have lowered the default value in NDIS.

I'd be curious to know how. There might be a Registry keyword to tell NDIS to
lower the multicast address table list per interface, but I don't know of one.

If anyone knows of this keyword (name, type, arguments), please post a note
here.
