    pw win95 eco2 and sp2 from microsoft
    
    The customer has a license and has winpopup installed he constantly
    gets messages in winpopup from the server about:
    
    Client not licensed to manage the server
    
    Now this comes from alerter which turns comes from registrar probably
    so what on the pc triggers these messages.I am unable to reproduce 
    here in my lab, I have search trhough comet, stars , notes and there is
    no answer nobody has ever really tracked this down.Somebody must know
    the cause of this?

	The server sends the message to you because you arein the alert list - not because its a problem with your PC. So, look on the server and see who else may be having problems. Alan

	They have 4.1 clients also so does that mean that everybody has to suffer and see these messages because they are in the alert list. There must be a way to turn these messages off.

	You have to be on the list (its an ASCII list...) and you have to be running winpopup (v4 clients can't) Alan

	Sorry it is not v4.1 clients but only the win95 clients, The only user alert should notify is admin that is how it is configured.Unless you are talking about another list of some kind if so what is it's name and where on the server is it located.

	The fix was to upgrade to the latest license bits, this turns out to be a license issue.
