Hi, A customer reports 3 Prioris XL 590 DP machines with BIOS 2.08 are hanging after enabling SMP with the MPS14.PSM file. IWSP2.EXE is applied, which means the version of MPS14 is from December 10, 1996 (config.nlm report). The client does not get the hang on a Prioris XL 5166 DP when he takes the hardware from one of the 590's and puts it into the 5166 DP with the same system disks. SCU 1.10 was used, and I am sending out SCU 1.12 in the hope that this is some screwy low-level problem. The Web server and Mercury Mail are both on these machines. Has this behaviour been noted before? What could be the difference between the 5166 and the 590? Cross posting to PRIORIS. Thanks & regards, Adrian Moore [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

If yes, then check the MLB p/n near the bottom most EISA slot: you should read 54-23984 on both machine. If you read 54-23456, it must be upgraded to support dual processor. -armand. | |||||
