Hi, A Large customer of mine is planing to upgrade his 6 * Prioris HX166 from netware V3.12 to V4.11.As part of this upgrade I have been asked to verifiy that the current Revisions of Hardware and Firmware won't pose a problem for the Upgrade as these servers serve a large Campus community. The configuration of the Prioris's is as follows: Model: FR-884WW-AX Phoniex Bios: V4.04 Adaptec 2940 Bios: V1.22s Mylex Dac960 (Raid)Bios: V1.29 F/W: V2.39 Ethernet Devices: DE435 DE450 DE500 DEFPA-UA. Is any one aware of any problems with the above configuration or Rev levels while running under V4.11 or any devices that are no longer supported under V4.11.Thanks in advance. Brendan.

I can't speak towards the other devices, but all of the networking devices you listed are supported under NetWare 4.11 and all four drivers (DE43X.LAN, DE450.LAN, DE500.LAN, and DEFPA.LAN, respectively) are bundled in the NetWare 4.11 CD. By the way, DEFPA-UA is an FDDI adapter, not an Ethernet device. Regards, Larry | |||||

The Mylex BIOS is oke. However for the system you're listing the Phoenix BIOS version. You need the Digital PC one. (This version number is written right under it, a few lines further) Pjotrr |
