Wondering if anyone has tried using a DE500 with IRIS. If so, can you tell me how you set it up? I'm assuming that the only support is through the NDIS2 driver. I'm also doing this on a Windows '95 system running IRIS through an ICON in standalone DOS mode. Thanks! David

I'm in the middle of writing a driver for one of the de500 series cards. I don't know when I'll be ready to release it, as there are many issues with this card. Maybe you can help me out: do you want it to autosense the line speed? User set line speed? BOTH? Lemme know -travis [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Travis, I did see your previous posts... thought I might be able to get it running with the NDIS drivers. Thus my question. As to your question, I think it is entirely fine to ask the user what they want. Especially since this is the first release. There are issues with getting onto an ethernet at the wrong speed. I think it would be desirable to have autosense work but for simplicity, I'd ask the user what speed the network is. That would make life easier for you in the short term. Any idea when you'll have something to play with? I'm doing lots of testing with Fast Ethernet these days and IRIS would sure be helpful! Regards, David
