| Wow, a call from a previous life :-) I had almost forgotten about
IRIS and the SNMP decoder.
In fact, there has always been a way to load MIBs into pd_snmp.dat
(I had to build this file somehow...). The tool (loadmib)
only accepts MIBs in Name-OID format. I couldn't find a DOS compiler
for the Concise MIB Format at that time, so I never released loadmib,
but put a pre-compiled pd_snmp.dat file with MIB-2 in the kit.
In the meantime I found the DOS version of SMIC (SNMP MIB Compiler)
which could fill the gap. But I never got around to put the pieces
together and release the whole stuff (there is also a newer version
of pd_snmp.pd).
I'll have to dig out the stuff, so please give me a few days. You'll
find it on netbox::pc_disk:[iris] (currently empty). Should I forget
it, please don't hesitate to send me a reminder!
Best regards from Munich,
*Robert

Robert,
Could you please send the sources to your SNMP decoder to me
at [email protected]? You can use MIME or a uuencoded .ZIP file...
I'd really like to include it in the latest kit, and now that I am
doing more TCP/IP work, perhaps I can even maintain it for you.
/Mitch.
