| I don't know the exact formula, but it's based on your income, the
age(s) of the kid(s), daycare expenses, and possibly other things. Just
sit down comfortably before anyone tells you what you'll be paying!
Obviously, there are kids involved and you're definitely planning
to divorce rather than consider reconciliation. "Mediation" is often
inadequate in such cases. It's more oriented towards "simple" divorces
or where the couple is still trying to reconcile.
It's attractive as a cheap alternative and probably worth looking
into further, but be prepared for things to get uglier than they are
now and to have to bring attorneys into the picture.

| Mediation can be either a good or bad thing. It depends upon who is
mediating, and if the opposing camp some how is allowed her attorney
into confernce. I have heard both good and bad. Be careful that this
doesnt become a second battle field where the ex gets some lopsided
issues stuff down the throat.
One mediation that happened, reading one internet page, had mediation
with a rep from a womans crisis shelter, and he was able to close the
place under the 'Rico Law' which is gangster and rack-a-tearing.:) Soo,
be weary, wear kevlon skivvies, and carry a big stick!:)
ps: Its great to be back in here. I have not, for some strange reason,
been able to access this file. Perhaps the phone cops?:)

At what age, in New Hampshire, is a child no longer considered a "minor"?
I'm speaking of a son, who is over 18, living with his mom, not attending
school.
Thanks
Jim

| And the answer is!!!:
At that moment! Less of course the minor child is about to enter
college. If not, and there is nothing in the winds for furthering the
education, 'Now' is then the time to write a motion for a change in
child support payments and to declair the child an adult!!
So, if you see nothing for college, Run, don't walk to your best
attorney and get the sucker to get you off the hook!!:)
