I haven't been able to find anything on this through keywords and title searches so: Does anyone have any information on GRAND parental visitation rights, particularly in Mass? Brief history: One of my granddaughters (age 6)lives with her mother (my wife's duaghter, but they moved and haven't contacted me. I am quite sure that it is deliberate on her mother's part. (insert long story here). I have no real way to find her, short of parking in front of her school and hoping she still goes there. I'm afraid I might get busted for stalking or something if I do that. I doubt that the school would give me any information. I've been reluctant to go to court to get visitiation rights. This is partially to avoid creating any more of an adversarial relationship than exists now. Up to now it hasn't really been adversarial. The other reason is that I don't believe that the court will provide me any help in finding her, even though they may frant me an order allowing visitation. Does anyone know anything about grandparent's rights in Mass? Any organizations around that may be able to give me help? Thanks, Jeff

Adversairial? It has been this from the getgo if you havent seen your grand daughter. Short of out and out stalking them, hire a gum shoe, P.I., shameless, to find them. Or if you know what town they live in. Go to the city clerks office and ask if such-n-such lives here. And if you have the SS number of the party your looking for.... Bingo! Your a hit.:) A pi can work the same, execpt they are bonded, and that the major expence they will tell you is computer time, as they show you their 286 monocrome.;) |
