I've seen a couple of notes in here requesting names of good lawyers, but I didn't see any answers with names so I'm asking again. My future husband (who is a former DECie who took SERP) is having some recent hassles with his ex and has decided it's time to get help from a lawyer (he didn't have one during the divorce). We live in Acton, Mass. His kids live in Southboro, and his divorce took place in worcester county. If anyone has a lawyer that they feel is worth recommending, either reply in here or send mail to me at ISLNDS::STERN. Thanks from both of us, Evie

Perhaps the reason lawyer referral is not a big time mentioned name is because of the legal verbiage insofar as not being able to promote an outside business. And lawyers are business, and it would be construed as a conflict if we were all to say good things about one business over another. Hence, another angle. Many of us do not feel that there are many good lawyers out there to represent us. Many lawyers have their own political agenda and it might be in conflict with what your paying them to do. So, you might find yourself getting sabotaged as you pay their dear little hearts with your hard earned cash. This I have seen first hand. The lawyers of yester-years are not of the same cut as the men and women of today. Please, this is not all lawyers of different disciplines. This is the divorce lawyer. |
