153.0. "Mass. Divorce/Custody Law" by LJOHUB::GODIN () Fri Aug 30 1991 07:06

For those who think the Massachusetts Courts are less than
understanding about the plight of the non-custodial father, here's
    a chance to be heard:

Dads Against Divorce (DAD) will meet with Rep. Robert Antonioni of the
Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, Sept. 11, to discuss equal rights for
men in Massachusetts divorce and custody law. The meeting will be held
at 7 p.m. in St. John's gym, Union and Chestnut Streets, Clinton.

Those who cannot attend may express their concerns by writing to Rep.
Antonioni in care of Dads Against Divorce, P.O. Box 914, Sterline, MA
    01564.

Did anyone attend this meeting? Can anyone provide a summary of how
it went and what, if any, follow up Rep. Antonioni plans?

    Thanks.

He didn't show up but his representative did and it was a very
emotional meeting. Nothing much accomplished being as though this was
really the first meeting like this in the area. Several groups have
formed C.U.R.E. (Coalition United for Rights Enforcement) and have a
planned hunger strike by Mike Wade in order to get some attention down
in Boston 11/4/91 thru 11/8/91 and there will be demonstrations 11/5/91
thru 11/7/91 with speakers. This is only the beginning.
