I haven't heard of such an animal. But then leave it to JH to SNAFU
everything.
Recently, I received a summary sheet showing all medical expenses for
my daughter who had been in the hospital. This was new to me because
usually my ex gets it. Well when she didn't get it, she called JH and
THEY said that since I am the employee, I will get EVERYTHING and that
if I want her to get things like summaries, checks, etc. I have to
send them a signed paper saying she can have a copy.
Now on the other hand, I have told JH that if ANY medical expenses
are to be paid, they should be paid directly to the medical profession.
I would rather deal with them than my ex.
One time she had her lawyer try and sue me for money that she supposedly
paid for medical expenses and supposedly she filed a claim and that JH
sent me the check and that I cashed it. WELL, her attorney got slapped
big time when I told them that wasn't true, and JH sent her a letter
stating that NO checks had ever been issued to me in my name and that
any benefit amounts were paid directly to the physicians. (I laughed
pretty hard about that one).
Good luck on finding out what is the "truth" and please post the results
here.

This NEW law pertains only to us poor slobs in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. You're in Colorado, aren't you.
Don't move to this state - you wouldn't even wish it on an enemy!

| If that is, indeed the law, I would head straight back to court to change the
orders. All expenses should be paid for by HER since SHE will be the one
reimbursed. Then she can give you a summary of what was not covered (proof
of charge, payment, and reimbursement) and you can pay 1/2.
Just my opinion... we get everything here, unless it is paid directly to the
physician.

| just last week i received a JH statement, including a check for xxx
dollars (made out to me) for medical care my kids received in Texas.
My ex paid the expenses, and I forwarded the check to her. It has
always worked this way. *I* carry the insurance that covers thekids,
and they always make the checks out to me. I live in Mass. and have
never had this problem with JH.
on the other hand, my ex is also insured with JH on the COBRA plan (or
what ever). (that's a benefit provided her by the JH co.) some
benefit!
she pays the premiums (about $200 per month...much less than insurance
for her would cost in MA, by the way) and JH continues to dork up her
account...not paying bills, or reimbursing expenses, or sending
paperwork to me instead of her, or not at all.
JH definitely has some problems...but the one listed in .0 is not one
of them in MY experience (thank God!)

Didn't the ex-wife let your husband know that a check had come to her?
If she forged his signature, isn't that some kind of illegal activity?
Am I clear on this? Your husband pays the medical bills, fills out
the paperwork, and expects to get reimbursed ?80% from JH. Instead
the reimbursement goes to his ex-wife and she gets a bonus check?!
This is hard for me to believe that JH is that screwed up. I go to
HCHP.
Keep us posted and good luck with getting the $809 soon.

They don't care! I had my ex forged my signature more times than I can count
for issurances. They act like "what's the big deal?"
