    from what i have read in this note file boy do i have it great.
    
    my son lives a 1/2 mile away from me and i see him almost everyday.
    
    i have coached little league with him and pop warner football with
    him.
    
    i only pay $35 a week in support my ex has never gone to get an
    increase in 12 years.
    
     after hearing some of the stories that i read i have to sit back
    and say to some of you good luck as i probably wouldn't be able to
    handle alot of those problems.
    
    my son is leaveing tonight for florida with one of his friends families
    for 10 days this is the longest time that i will have to go without
    seeing him and it bugs the heck out of me.
    but after hearing what some of you go through i'm going to count
    my blessing.
    
    don't know how much i can contribute to this conference as most
    of my problems are small compared to yours but i'll read them
    and i will feel for most of you.

	boy Sue you were right i can't believe the problems that some of these people have and i hope i never will. it makes me almost want to hug my ex.(well almost) frank

	I would just like to say to you. Thank your lucky stars that you did not have to deal with the new child support law and guidelines. They are harsh and create a major problem for the non-custodial parent. And to make matters worst they can be used to abrogate any and all previous judgements and agreements concerning child support. So unless your children are of age be careful to keep what looks like a great relationship with your "ex" in good repair, because not only can she ask for an increase she can knock a hole in your finances.

	as for my support being what it is i know i am lucky to have it so low i hear what some other people pay and i'm shocked. my cousin was my lawyer and he really looked out for me in other items. like. my ex cannot move out of the county correction she can move but she can't move my son with my consent. another it is listed unlimited visiting within a 24 hour notice (but i just go and get him whenever i want) no phone call needed. now one of the stupidest things i did was i GAVE her our house 9 rooms, 2, 2 car garages a 60 x 60 foot barn and a 4 room mobile home on 5 acres of land. when we bought it the price was 34,000 boy would i like that place now. but all in all me and my ex get along really good for ex's and i am really glad because if i had one tenth of the problems mentioned in this file i would go nuts. for some better days are coming

	I am lucky also, as you can see by the other replies in this file, I have a good relationship with my ex. However, because of this file I am learning alot and now that I am considering giving my ex custody of my daughter, I will be protecting myself much more when I go to the attorney than before I read this file. While I trust him to do the best for my daughter, I still want it is writing that certain things will prevail should anything change.
