Welcome to the Non-Custodial Parents notes files.  This notes conference is 
to discuss the various rights, laws, issues, concerns, dealings, etc., which
are affecting today's society regarding non-custodial parents, children and
grandparents rights/laws.

Everyone is encouraged to participate on these issues.  Some of the items
that are open to discussion are:

	State & Federal Laws Governing Non-Custodial vs. Custodial 
	  Parents Rights
	Custodial/Non-Custodial Tax Laws
	Current Events
	Child Custody Laws
	Grandparents Rights
	Child Support Laws & Issues


Notes 1.* will establish the rules, moderator's rights, issues not to
be discussed, etc.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact 
the moderators.

It should be pointed out that this is NOT a divorce notes files.  It is a 
notes file open for discussion regarding the above and related issues.

Since this NOTES conference can/will be very sensitive, there will be several
rules that should be adhered to which are stated below.  As always, the
moderators will closely monitor any and all entries and if deemed necessary,
any entry not conforming to these rules will be set HIDDEN and the appropriate 
author will be notified with a full explanation when possible.

If you feel that an entry is offending, please contact the moderators
immediately.  We moderators also have jobs and we would like to keep it that
way.  All requests will obviously be kept confidential.


Items that WILL NOT be tolerated
--------------------------------

 o  Situations between 2 internal individuals who are married together 
    and are going through separation or divorce  (where hubby and wife
    reply angrily toward each other)

 o  Any derogatory remarks toward court officials and/or organizations 
    by proper name (I.E., lawyers, judges, senators, etc.  Offline discussions
    are HIGHLY encouraged by private communication using MAIL)

 o  Specific cases of individuals within Digital (unless it's "John and Jane Doe
    are going through this situation...")

 o  Any insult toward other DEC employees

 o  Swearing will be tolerated to some degree.  Please substitute "other" 
    characters when appropriate


We apologize for the strict rules but due to legal ramifications, these
rules must be set forth and adhered to.  Any deviation from the above
rules, will be dealt with immediately, with or without notification.

  The moderators reserve the right to set any note hidden if it appears
that the note will deviate from the rules established earlier.  All protests
to notes set hidden should be sent via SEND/MODERATORS.  All protests/
requests will be kept confidential.

It should be noted that the moderators are only trying to keep law and
order within the notes files.  Any decision by the moderators should not be 
taken personally.  There are certain legal limits/liabilities moderators
must also observe.

   I had an brief mail conversation with one of this conference's readers
   who was looking for the moderators.  It appears that I am the sole
   remaining moderator.  The others seem to have been downsized.

   I will adjust the moderator list accordingly.

   conference.  I've added his name to the moderator list and I look forward

   them to either Brian at SIETTG::HETRICK, or myself at TERZA::ZANE.  We
   will strip off the identifying information and post your note with a
   brief introduction stating that it is an anonymous entry.

   If you have any issues or questions regarding this conference or any
