39.1 | Update on Entertainment | CSC32::LUCERO | Strive for Excellence | Fri Jan 08 1993 15:43 | 11 |

Guess what? It looks promising for the live entertainment!
I have found two guitarists that are willing to perform by the
help of my friend Julie Mourar, who some of you may or may not know.
Remember if you rsvp, to let me know what you are bringing so
I can let the others know when they ask what they should bring...
(looks like we will have a wide variety by the responses rec'd so far).
Thanks, Julie and look forward to seeing all of you next weekend.

39.2 | Tamales were wonderful! | CSC32::LUCERO | Strive for Excellence | Tue Feb 16 1993 09:51 | 9 |

By the way, Pat Tomaro's tamales won the content as the most
authentic and delicious!! I'm also going to need to get the
recipe of the homemade hot sauce that Nora made. I tried it
with Spanish omlettes and some cheese and it was wonderful!
I think the green onions in her recipe made the difference...

| Hello all,
I don't know if this would be a good place to ask this or not but since
leaving Col. I haven't found any place that has good green chili sauce,
and I'd like to try my hand at making some. Does anyone have a good re-
cipe? Any heat level is ok. Thank You.

39.4 | I'll look. | BSS::P_TOMARO | | Mon Feb 22 1993 11:05 | 7 |
| I'm not suprised. Green chili sauce is a Colorado speciality. I will
check my recipe stash for you. I do have a good recipe for tamales.
Unfortunately it is "authentic". It uses the traditional ingredients,
Masa Herina, water and LARD. People tell me you can substitute veg.
shortening or margerine. I haven't tried it yet. I'll check the
recipe file as soon as I can.
Pat.

| Crawled out of the recipe cabinet, dusted off the flour, put a fresh
dab of vanilla behind both ears and I'm ready to go!
Work has been intense lately and I have been pulling down a few
little catering jobs on the side. On top of that I have purchased
a lot in Teller county and I am in the process of putting the
improvements on it. (Just little things like a culvert, a well, a
house...8/} )
How is it going on your end? We really have to find an excuse for
another party. Let's see...National Plant a Petunia Day....no, that's
in May. Ah, National send a parent to camp day...no we did that year
before last. OK, everyone help out here!.
Later, Pat

39.7 | You are not easily forgotten around here! | CSC32::LUCERO | Strive for Excellence | Tue Apr 20 1993 18:57 | 14 |

Pat,
Hi! A friend yesterday continued to rave on about how great
your tamales were at my last party. Just to let you know your
great talents are not easily forgotten. We were reminiscing (sp!!)
over one of my famous margaritas (so they rumor to say anyway).
At any rate, I agree we need to have to have something to celebrate
Spring at the very least. Will you be selling you home in Monument?
Talk at you soon,
Yvette

| Not contemplating selling the home in Monument. I am working to
acquire a summer house/rental property in Teller County. As soon as it
is habitable, we'll have to have a retreat weekend up there. It is
REALLY refreshing and relaxing to be up there even without facilities.
