Hi Lynn,
One nice thing about the Springs is there is always a plentitude
of rentals in this area in the form of townhomes or condos. You
should not have any problem finding a cozy rental in a nice area.
A friend of mine recently sold his home in the Rockrimmon area
and received exactly what he had hoped for it within a matter
of weeks of placing it on the market. I've heard of other homes
selling within a matter of days so there is some competition out there.
Look forward to finally getting to meet you after being 'note pals'.
I'll forward you mail if I seen any prospects. My friend in
Manitou Springs is moving out of her cottage tomorrow and it
is quite cozy with a small loft combination bedroom and nice view!

| Hi Lynn,
I beg to differ with Yvette. Since MCI is bringing hundreds of new people
into the area rents are moving up and availability is really crunched.
I understand the townhouse community I live in (in Briargate) has a waiting
list of 65 people waiting for 2-3 bedroom units. Also a friend of mine
is being forced to move from a rental home at the end of their lease
because the market is so good and their landlord wants a much higher rent.
Many places are being rented sight unseen by out of state renters.
I suggest being proactive and trying to line something up before you
arrive. Good luck. If I can help in any way, just let me know.

Same applys to the south end of town there were several empty homes
near mine and now there are none most to Apple employees.

Thank you - all of you, you've been a great help......it's amazing
hearing all of this. When I left the Springs last, it was most
certainly a "buyer's market" - I'm so glad to see things are
turing around there, but sorry to see that it may be tough finding
a place to live. Ya never know though :^).

Yes, my other friend from back east recently took the SERP package
and is planning on retiring in the Colorado area so will be staying
with me while she is seeking other job opportunities in the area.
She will also be looking for a rental soon (July-Aug. timeframe but
said that she does not absolutely have to live on the northside.
So, if anyone hears of any rentals coming up later this summer...

| Lynn, Give me a holler if you need temp lodgings while you look. The
Springs is getting to be less of a buyer's market. I have the room.
Of course the house is in Woodmoor (Monument exit) but it is only 17
miles to CXO3. Pat
