I have been asked to facilitate a Men's Workshop. I'll be meeting with some Personnel folks in MRO within the next week to set the ground rules and criteria. The workshop is to help men understand and deal with the changing roles of women in the workplace and how men feel about that. We plan to have a single workshop in MRO. If it goes well, I guess we'll take on the road to other large site like MKO and ZKO. BTW.....I'm not a Personnel person, I'm a Safety Engineer who showed some interest and got asked to participate. As more info becomes available, I'll let you know what and when. Ken

The plan is to have it start at noon. The length will be determined by the participants. In your JOB PLAN instructions, your are encouraged to participate in DEC sponsored Valuing Deversity, EEO, and Affrmitive Action programs. This Workshop is sponsored through personnel for men, about issues such as sexual harassment, changing roles of men and women, etc.. Similar workshops are being planned for women. For once, someone has recognized that there are legitimate issues that men need to deal with and can't in a mixed audience. Same is true for women. Ken |
