141.1 | Node TAMARA should be used for NOTES access | XANADU::COFFLER | Jeff Coffler | Mon Aug 17 1987 23:08 | 10 |
| This file is now at it's new home.
Please use node TAMARA to access this notes conference. Only use
the other nodes *IF* TAMARA is down (this is rare). If you must
an alternate node, please change your entry back to node TAMARA
as soon as it is available once again.
Send any questions to me or Steve, the other MENNOTES moderator.

141.2 | xmod checks in! | 2B::ZAHAREE | World famous analogies, while you wait. | Tue Aug 18 1987 20:10 | 14 |
| Hi guys!
This IS really revolting. My ex-wife's name is Tamara. You really
don't want me back in here, do you?
Anyway, I have updated the "Mennotes has moved" message that gets sent
when people try to read Mennotes on 2B, sending them along this way.
Not that it matters to anyone who already knows where the conference
is. Would you believe I still get 10-20 people per day trying to access
the file on 2B. Simply amazing!
Happy noting!

141.5 | Please use all nodes of cluster to access MENNOTES | JAC::COFFLER | Jeff Coffler | Wed Jun 29 1988 15:42 | 18 |
| Based on the usage of our cluster, it would now be better to use
all nodes of the cluster to access MENNOTES. Our cluster consists
of the following nodes:
MANANA, TAMARA, XANADU, GLIVET
Please pick a node at random to use to access NOTES; this will
hopefully spread the NOTES load across the cluster evenly. To change
your notebook entry, issue a command like:
MOD ENTRY MENNOTES/FILESPEC=<node>::MENNOTES
where <node> is one of the node names listed above.
Thanks,

141.7 | "They" won't let us have a cluster alias | JAC::COFFLER | Jeff Coffler | Thu Jun 30 1988 01:17 | 12 |
| re: .-1
Nope, no cluster alias. That would be the simple solution.
As I understand it, the data communications people in our facility
(ZK) don't want anymore routers because there are already a large
number of them. Since a cluster alias requires a router ... no
cluster alias for our cluster.
If the situation changes, I'll post a message here.
