62.0. "What do you offer to partners?" by RDGENG::LESLIE (Andy `{o}^{o}' Leslie, ECSSE. OSI.) Sun Jan 18 1987 14:51

In 1982 the UK paper the Daily Express, from the results of a survey,
found that "...increasingly, women want a kind, considerate, humourous
partner, not a dominant provider...". Wendy characterises me as a kind,
    considerate, humourous, dominant provider. :-)

What do other Noters here think men should provide as partners?

re .0:

Dominant? Are we talking sexually, financially, socially or what?

I prefer to think of my relationship as a partnership were we use our
combined strength to overcome problems and enjoy our lives together.
In other words we are each dominant in some respect but the roles are
changing with circumstance.

I think this type of relationship works because we are mutually
positive and supportive.

As for the other attributes - they are essential,

Dave.

    Yes.
62.3What's good for the gander...LSTARK::THOMPSONNoter of the LoST ARKMon Jan 19 1987 11:2011
I think that men should provide women the same things that they
want women to provide them. I think my wife would characterize me
as kind, considerate (though she thinks I still need work there),
and humorous. I am definitely not that dominant. In fact I am giving
her all the support I can in a business venture which should mean
that with in a few years she'll be making lots more money then me.
Then I will be more easily afford to stay at DEC and have fun. If
I was more ambitious and wanted to start a new business she would
support me the same way I do her.

Beats me what they want. Women have more in common with Brownian
motion than with men. Do they really like clowns?

I try to offer her alot of sexual feeling, in this i mean finding for
her the different ways that she can be satisfy. Because I believe that
if i don't do this some one else will. I also try to reason with her in
quite a lot of things. Well everything of course has its limits. I am
the type of person who tries to find out (NATURALLY) ways that we can
pleased each other and enjoy a much grater relationship.
