Hi, Does anyone know if there is a version of Fortran that will run on an Alpha NT 4.0 system (customer is calling it Visual Fortran)? If so, how can an external customer obtain a copy from Digital? Any part #s for this product? I could not find info in vtx ir. Any information apprecitated. Thanks, Karen

There is a Digital Fortran compiler available on Alpha now (it's been around for a while now). The Visual part is, I believe, nearing completion. The Fortran team takes questions and gives far more definitive answers in the TURRIS::FORTRAN conference. | |||||

Today customers can buy DEC Fortran V1.2 for Windows NT AXP Systems, QB-287AA-SA. This is not a "Visual" product - it is an extended Fortran 77 compiler with a command-line tools interface. In September we will introduce DIGITAL Visual Fortran Professional Edition, an enhancement of our current DIGITAL Visual Fortran Standard Edition available for Intel systems. The Professional Edition will add support for Alpha processors as well as IMSL libraries from Visual Numerics.
