6060.0. "Year 2000 bios and firmware support?" by BIGCHZ::EZZELL (Mike Ezzell) Fri May 30 1997 15:22
I had a customer call and ask me what Digital's position is on Year 2000
support for Windows NT. He said that he had called Compaq and the gave him
the minimum bios revision that will support Windows NT and the year 2000.
They have Digital Venturis, Celebris, Prioris, and AlphaServers and would
like to know the minimum bios and firmware levels for these products.
I found the following statement at:
http://www.digital.com/info/year2000/y2kfaq.htm#A7
All DIGITAL Intel-based product line running Microsoft's Windows 95 and
Windows NT operating systems are ready for the Year 2000 transition today.
This includes both personal computer, workstation, and server hardware systems
and the software that DIGITAL writes and installs on its Intel-based products.

| I believe all revisions of Alpha firmware are ready for the year
2000.
