dear collegue,

the following problem.. An A1000A 5/300 crashes during a reboot..
after this it won't boot anymore... before this the customer just installs
nt and drivers and reboots it intermittendly

the config is as follows:

A1000a 5/300 alphabios = 5.28 HAL 4.0
   DE435
   KZPSA-BB   --> HSZ40-B    kzps drivers version 1.41
                             hsz drivers version 3.01
   DEFPA-DA no connection but installed
system disk is disk on internal scsi bus...

The crash is as follows:

Microsoft (R) Windows NT (TM) Version 4.0 (Build 1381 service pack 3)
Digital Equipment Corporation AlphaServer 1000 5/300
1 System Processor [256 MB Memory]

Restart and set te recorvery options in the system control panel

We put the system disk in an other NT system and found that the folowing files
were missing in the directory:

c:\winnt\system32\config
  default
  sam
  secevent.evt
  security
  software
  system

Anybody any ideas. The customer had installed this system just for testing and
just added printer 123 and did a reboot. It seems this happens on different
A1000a 5/300.

greetings,
