I have a large manufacturer that is looking for Alpha-NT references. Specifically they want to talk to someone (informally) that has used/is using: * Cheyenne backup on Alpha-NT * CA-Unicenter on Alpha-NT * migration of Netware users to Alpha-NT for file and print services. Again, this is to promote NT on Alpha. Customer is dubious. Any and all pointers appreciated. - Tim

Tim, Not sure about the Cheyenne or CA references (don't know if CA has any major NT wins for that matter as they are extremely expensive ..), but in the case of Alpha NT : Digital has a huge world wide Exchange NT implementation based primarily on Alpha NT with some smaller Prioris's kicking around as well..We just recently topped the 40,000 user mark world wide. Other big Customers doing Alpha NT and Exchange (E-mail is usually a very high priority item in most companies) : Attached also have the Microsoft header on the press releases, so add's more weight than one from Digital promoting Digital .. http://www.microsoft.com/corpinfo/press/1996/sept96/decmspr.htm (Lockheed Martin Microsoft release) http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/gcn.htm (US Postal Services) http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/bt.htm (British Telecom) Regards, / Kerry |
