I have a customer who is complaining that his logical drive (RAID 0) seems to be very slow when looking at it via explorer. The configuration is as follows. Prioris ZX6000 Dual Pentium Pro 256Mb Mylex DAC960 RAID controller 6 FR-PCWVR-AZ (Seagate ST15150W) configured as one RAID 0 array 22Gb NT V4.0 no service paks NTFS on logical volume Logical volume is only 10% used 90% free. Any ideas on what maybe causing this apparent slowness. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot to check the RAID controller is performing as it should. I have advised he upgrade to service pak 2. Any feedback welcome Thanks, Dave Bono (MCS London)

Service PAK 2 has made no difference. The customer has reported general slowness not just explorer. Cross Posted to GVPROD::PRIORIS Thanks, Dave. |
