5935.0. "Part no. for Madge Token Ring board" by OSL09::JAN () Fri Apr 18 1997 05:47

Hi, we have a customer here that is running a PCI Token Ring adapter,
PBXNP-AA (Thomas Conrad board). As far as I understand, this board has
been dropped by Digital, the Madge PCI adapter is the new one.

Does anyone know the support status of this board running WNT V4.0 on
    an AlphaServer 4100.

Also I can not find the part no. for this board, anyone that could
help me with this? (Or where to get it from)

    ASAP please?

    Thanks and regards

From the placement of the question, I am not sure if you are asking
about the Madge or the T/C. I am assuming the Madge, since the T/C
is not supported and does not work.

The Madge PCI card works great in the 4x00. I have a number of
customers that are using it with no problems. It is a third party
product so you have to go outside to buy it. I have seen a part
number for it posted, I have never found that part number on the
	price list.

5935.2PBXNP-AB is the Madge TR Digital Part #DECWET::VOBAFri Apr 18 1997 11:525
Re .0, PBXNP-AB (the last time i was told) may not be on the Digital
price book. However, retail units from Madge resellers will work all
    the same (very well).
