I'm having problems with a Windows NT 3.51 (SP 5) Server trying to access a Domain. When trying to log on the error I receive is :- "The system cannot log you on now because the domain <name of domain> is not available" However, I can log on localy and net view / use resources on both the PDC and BDC (Both also Windows NT 3.51 / SP 5). Other servers (and workstations) built at the same time (yesterday !) work OK. I do not get an error when I join the domain (Control Panel->Network) specifying username + password for the admin account for the domain. Any help / pointers gratefully received, Regards, Rik Watson

What kind of system are you logging on to? And exactly how are you logging in. Is this machine a part of the domain? If so, does Server Manager on the PDC and BDC(s) see the machine you are trying to log into as part of their domain? Mary Jo |
