Hi, I would like to know whether some Borland products (delphi, c++, Interbase, Intrabuilder Interclient) have been ported to Alpha NT. If you know a contact name or any relevant info I will be more than happy to hear from you. Thanks in advance, Thomas [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

I also have a prospect looking for Borland Delphi support on Alpha NT. He's currently max'd out on his Compaq and is turning to the Alpha alternative. This brings up a more general question regarding native Alpha NT compilers. Is there any effort to recruit other vendors besides Microsoft and Digital to offer a native Alpha compiler? In fact, as I understand it, Digital really does the Alpha optimization for the Microsoft compilers. Would it be reasonable to do the same for other software vendors? Until there's more native Alpha tools out there, there will always be a big fear factor involved in making an Alpha NT decision. | |||||
